Department of Software Engineering
Introduction:
Within the Faculty of Information Technology, we are responsible for providing training and research in the area of software engineering, which is one of the fastest developing areas in Information Technology. Our strategic goal is to develop high quality IT programs, research in software development, and world-class academic staff.
Our training programs are always strongly oriented towards software engineering industry. They are often updated with the current state of the art development in software engineering, and guided by the IEEE/ACM curriculum.
Since the establishment of the department, we maintain a strong focus on fundamental research in software engineering. Our research is funded by several government organization and industries. Several grants have been secured in the areas of software quality, computational intelligence and decision support systems.
